Strange Illness

Do you have someone with a strange illness that you cant identify?

We do and its my grandfather.. He has something no one can help.. Do you have an answer?

Symptoms: Everything starts at night!

• Fatigue
• Hallucination (he will hold up his hands saying he just caught a big bass or trout)
• Unable to move at all (complete loss of movement)
• Doesn’t recognize loved ones (happened 1 time)
• Talks like normal like they are ok but is not
• Thinks they are somewhere else when they are not

After hundreds of trips to the hospital over they years we still have no answer. We have been to hospitals from Florida to California and no one can seem to find out what causes this to happen.  They spells come on in the night time only and can last for 9 days straight. Then he can be fine for months again with no issues.
Most of the time he has no problems walking around on his own with a cane or a walker. Today he actually walked for an hour on his own. The he will get a spell and he can do nothing. He cant lift a hand move a leg or even eat.  His throat will swell and he cant even swallow..

Is this some kind of allergic reaction? We have taken him 0ff of any kind of medication and still this happens.
